Cookie Information
Last reviewed: 27 October 2026
This page explains cookies and similar technologies used in connection with wekapture.co.uk. Kapture Productions Ltd, company number 13852184, operates the website. Read our Privacy Notice for information about personal data and how to contact us.
What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. They can support functions such as signing in or help a website measure its use. Similar rules can apply to other technologies that store information on, or access information from, a device.
Google Analytics and the Google tag
If you accept analytics, the website loads a Google tag through Site Kit by Google. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and maintain information about visits. Measurement may include pages viewed, interactions, referral information and device or browser information.
_ga: used by Google Analytics to distinguish users or browsers. Google documents a default expiry of two years.
_ga_<container-id>: used by Google Analytics 4 to maintain session state. Google documents a default expiry of two years.
Google documents a default lifetime of two years for these Analytics cookies. Browser restrictions and configuration can change the actual duration, and return visits may refresh an expiry. Our website keeps the Analytics tag blocked until you accept analytics. See Google’s explanation of Analytics cookies.
Analytics retention and account sharing
Google Analytics event-data retention is set to two months and user-data retention is set to 14 months. Reset on new user activity is enabled, so new activity can restart the retention period for the user identifier. These settings do not limit most standard aggregated reports and are separate from the expiry of cookies stored in your browser.
The optional Analytics account-level sharing settings for Google products and services, modelling contributions and business insights, technical support, and recommendations for our business are disabled. These account settings are separate from any product links or other Google measurement features.
Google signals and user-provided data collection are disabled, and no Google Ads accounts are linked to this Analytics property. Granular location and device data collection is enabled, which can include city-level location and more detailed device information.
The Analytics property’s ads-personalisation setting is currently allowed. Our website cookie controls do not grant advertising storage, advertising user-data or ads-personalisation consent when you accept analytics.
Your cookie choices
Google Analytics is optional. It remains blocked until you choose Accept analytics. If you choose Reject analytics, the website continues to work without loading the Google Analytics tag or its measurement scripts.
You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time to review or change your choice. Accepting analytics does not give permission for advertising storage, advertising user data or personalised advertising through our consent controls.
If you withdraw permission after accepting, we disable further Analytics collection, remove accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies and reload the page so the loaded tracking scripts stop. This does not erase information already received by Google. Contact us if you want to ask about your data.
We store your choice in your browser’s local storage under kapture_cookie_choice_v1. It records the choice, a settings version and the time it was made. We use it to remember your preference for up to 180 days, then ask again when you return. Clearing browser storage can also make the choice appear again. If your browser cannot save a choice, it applies only to the current page.
WordPress administration and security
People who sign in to administer the website may encounter WordPress authentication, login-test and preferences cookies. These support access to the administration area and differ from cookies used for public visitor measurement. The public enquiry form does not require a visitor account.
GoDaddy/123 Reg provides our website hosting, with website files and the WordPress database hosted in France. Hosting, caching and security services also receive technical request information to operate and protect the website. Our current hosting information places hosting backups and server logs in provider-controlled locations within the European Economic Area. Exact storage locations and retention periods are being confirmed with GoDaddy/123 Reg. You can contact us if you need more information about hosting data or retention.
Fonts, social links and embedded content
Some fonts are retrieved from Google. A font request is a connection to another provider and can disclose request information; it should not be confused with an Analytics cookie.
The website includes links to our social profiles. Following a link opens another service, where that provider’s cookie and privacy information applies.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can use your browser settings to review, remove or block cookies. Blocking all cookies can affect signed-in administration and other website functions. Browser settings do not necessarily stop every network request or every form of measurement.
Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Its availability and behaviour depend on the browser and Google’s support.
